DESIGN
At Fig Landscapes, we strive to give our clients a garden that not only represents their lifestyle, but enriches their way of life. Our aim is to help you through all stages of the design process, from initial consultation to final garden installation and ongoing garden maintenance. The Fig Landscapes design process is outlined below from start to finish. Although each project’s requirements may differ, all projects start with a Concept Design.
THE DESIGN PROCESS FROM START TO FINISH
STEP 1
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Please take a few minutes to fill out the book a consultation form and Grant will then arrange an on-site consultation to discuss the possibilities of your project.
Following your consultation, Grant will determine the fees for your garden design (charged at $120/hr) and send you a Landscape Design Fee Proposal via email for your approval.
STEP 2
GARDEN DESIGN
A series of visual aids will be sent to you via email in order to clarify general mood, proposed materials to be used, planting schemes and structural elements, if not already determined at your initial consultation.
This is a collaborative process, where your feedback is incorporated into the final design in order to bring your landscape vision to life.
STEP 3
LANDSCAPE CONCEPT PLAN
Once your design brief has been outlined, Fig Landscapes will work to prepare your landscape concept design which includes a detailed landscape plan, a proposed plant and material palette, a preliminary plant schedule along with elevation details and any documents required for council approval.
Creating your concept plan takes around 6 weeks. At this stage, Grant will arrange a second site visit to review the concept plan and make any revisions.
STEP 4
QUOTE FOR INSTALLATION
Following approval of your landscape concept design, Grant will arrange a third appointment on-site to handover a quote and estimate for the construction of your new garden.

You have design questions? We have answers.Fig Landscapes is currently taking on design projects all around Australia. Fig Landscapes is based in the Byron shire and will arrange on-site appointments within Northern NSW and Southern QLD and virtual or on-site consultations (if required) for projects in other states.
Landscape concept designs often take around 6 weeks from initial consultation to complete.
At present, Fig Landscapes are currently only quoting to construct jobs within Northern NSW and Southern QLD.
The cost of your initial consultation is covered within your project fee proposal. If you decide that you do not wish to proceed with a design, you will be charged for a the site consultation at $120/hour.
